In Need A Change In Scenery

Little things I'm thinking about today. Some of you may know that I suffer from General Anxiety Disorder, and lately it has been really hard to deal with. I've never wanted meds for it because I've always tried to handle it myself, but it does get too hard sometimes. Therapy has also helped, and Yoga has helped in the past as well. Exercise really helps a lot, but sleep has been difficult to come by when I have nightmares every night from stress the past 3 weeks. Hoping part of it will be alleviated tomorrow on my last day of the semester, but I have other big decisions to make. In need of a slight change in scenery to better myself and work towards my main goal. Nothing of importance ever comes easy, so I just need to breathe and make a game plan, and attack it with courage and strength. I'm reminding myself today that I create my future and can't rely on the help of others to help me along my journey, because sometimes they hinder it for their own gain. I can do this. It's all in my hands.

A Letter from Scandinavia

''He's really calm soul, but at the same he can be so crazy especially when it comes to work''

Yes, he's a workaholic. It's not a bad thing when someone really enjoyed the work. He's also an adrenaline junkie. He can travel to anywhere in the world, as he wants. Swimming with shark in Amazon, climbing nordic mountains, adventurous road trip, African journey, to a challenging yet touching visit in slum area and garbage village in Manila. Looks like a boss, huh?

But yet, that's just results of the hard work. It's also being important, to fulfill self-satisfaction and also help others in between. He can be that cool without trying to. Some words are just there to describe. Clean and stylish. creative, smart, and yet nice to people. I like that type of an energetic soul, colorful, but still calm. Just charming.

Surprising people kinda being a thingy for him. He likes to show people that if he was capable of doing something, then he needed to do it. He likes to organize things, planning everything so it can be perfect when it comes to the result. The most important thing is that he always enjoy everything he does. ''Don't hesitate to talk to people, your family, your friends. They can help you. Be what you wanna be. If everyone be like that, then it will be good''

"Follow your gut, it's good. Don't be afraid to make your own decision. If it's not you, who else?"

He's a shy person at first. But he knew that he could do something. ''Sometimes you need something to push you to your limit until you realize that you can do something beyond that''. Just show people you can. As the time goes by, you can be more confident with your self.

He's a combination of an independent person yet very embracing when it comes to the family. Sounds like a real man? Yeah. I like the taste. He's not such a dirty swagger. He doesn't like it when it's dirty and unorganized. It's not a lavish thing. He really takes care of his appearance and also health. Of course, smoking is not an option.

''Live your life to the fullest. Appreciate people. Read a lot, gym a lot, haha. Don't engage too much to the social media, you still have your own world. Take care about it.''

''Know your base, get your team, be nice. It will take you far in life. And mind your attitude''

He know where he belongs and what he needs to do. Not that mainstream person who are just following what's trending or so.

''Don't get into rush. Sometimes, you just need to be patient. Things could take months or even years for you to accomplish, but sometimes it's worth to wait. Persistence is the key''

He's not that type of lazy person (well, not like me for sure :p) he's so energetic and passionate, seems like he owns that sensuous beat in his vein. Such a powerful life. ''Just enflame your passion''

Take a little break from your daily work, explore the world. Follow your gut.

Bold, fueled, promising.

I said, he got that entirely winning package that will keep him going.

After got all the work done, he could enjoy those propulsive sounds that he has ably created, still not stopping him to be creative in his life.

''Pulsate your finest moves until the last note drops''

Well, good luck in everything.

To think that I might not see those eyes make it so hard not to cry
Because.

Du är den vackraste jag mott

Tack darin för att inspirera mig! :-)

Oh sure lof, it's Edensor :)

Aku ingin hidup! Ingin merasakan sari pati hidup! :)

Ah, sure lof, it's edensor.

The First APSIA Writing Class

Hi there,
Here I come up with the tagline about APSIA writing class. This training program was held on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Here are the details.
There are four great speakers delivering their knowledge and experience in the field of writing.
The first, we had kak Diego Christian. He is the author of a novel entitled with “Percaya”. The main point of him was ‘to be a good writer, you must have a great passion on it, going through and unceasing. Practice and repetition makes perfect’.
He said “High dream is not wrong at all, the wrong one is our short effort on it”
Diego Christian is a distinguished writer of fiction book. He told us notions about writing a fiction story. Here are some:

*    Unique diction and narration
*    Dialog must be good and exciting to read
*    There are two type of description: showing and telling
*    Do some research before writing
*    Choose and consider reader target
*  Start making a good plot

“Passion is something that you never give up even when the world makes you down”

                           Kak Diego Chrsitian

The second speaker on the first session was kak Boim Lebon. Who’s he? He is the writer of “Lupus” series novel. He also write “Masih Bisa Cuma di Republik Mimpi” book. Guess what, he has written more than 100 fiction books. What a wow really!
Quote from him “Sometimes, we don’t need to find a unique story through a long way of searching, we can find it from our ordinary life”

The third great speaker was kak Arry Rahmawan. Arry is a graduate of Engineering Faculty of University of Indonesia. He is the author of “5 Kunci Siswa Hebat”. He writes 500 articles in a year (so productive, right?). He told us some tips to be a productive writer. First, to start writing, we should make a set of vision first. We don’t need to write if we don’t have any passion on what we’re going to write. Just write based on our passion, something that attracted us, something that we really good at. To write a lot, we should read a lot! J
                                                            Kak Arry Rahmawan

And… we had our last speaker. Yep, she’s Windy Ariestanty. Some of you might have heard about Kambing Jantan authored by our funny writer icon, Raditya Dika. Windy is the editor of Gagas Media which published the book. She is the author of “Life Traveler”. She made some thought-provoking notions we should check out.
                                                                      Kak Windy Ariestanty

“We have to learn better, write better, not just feel better”
“Stop asking means stop seeking”

English In 24 Accents

Hi everyone, I wanna show you a video of someone speaking English using 24 accents all at once. The guy is amazingly brilliant the way he makes this. I bet you just can’t agree more. Check out the following :

United Kingdom at a Glance

Hola.. Here’s come the country edition post. The first post would be all about UK. Why UK? I don’t know. I’m just recently falling in love with this country. So, check out these more.
Some of us maybe confused a lot about the difference between United Kingdom, Britain, Great Britain, and British Isles.
Well, United Kingdom is a country comprising 4 parts of the country, i.e. England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. England is a country forming the southern and largest part of the United Kingdom with London as its capital. United Kingdom is officially named the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island.
Meanwhile, British Isles is a group of islands consisting of the large islands of Great Britain and Ireland and almost 5000 surrounding smaller islands and islets. Great Britain is the largest island in the cluster of British Isles. British is term to call people of the United Kingdom (in short, you can call the Brit).
Let's make some peeps! :)

Tower of London
The Tower of London, located on the northern bank of the Thames River, was built about 1078. It was used alternately as a fortress, royal residence, and state prison in its early years. Today, it is maintained as an arsenal with a garrison, and is open to the public. The well-preserved Norman and medieval structures cover nearly 7.2 hectares (18 acres).

Island of Mull, Inner Hebrides, Scotland
Boats glide through the harbor of Tobermory, the main town on the Island of Mull in the Inner Hebrides, located off the coast of Scotland. The bay purportedly holds the wreck of a Spanish Armada galleon that went down in the 16th century. Sheltered inlets, rocky cliffs, coastal skerries, and desolate moorlands add to the island’s scenic beauty.

Lake Windermere, Lake District, England
Watersports enthusiasts windsurf on Lake Windermere in England’s Lake District. Windermere has become a popular venue for watersports and fishing, leading to conflicts with conservationists over the use of the area.

Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and its second largest city. The view here is of the city with the hills south of the Firth of Forth.

Cambridge University, Cambridge, England
Founded in the 13th century, Cambridge University is one of the oldest educational institutions in Europe and one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Among its many distinguished graduates are Charles Darwin, John Maynard Keynes, Oliver Cromwell, and John Milton.

Rugby School, England
The playing fields of Rugby School, in Warwickshire, witnessed the birth of rugby football in 1823 when William Webb Ellis, a pupil, picked the ball up while playing football. Founded in 1567, the school is a leading English public school, renowned for its science education.

All Souls College, Oxford University
England’s oldest institution of higher learning, Oxford University, is a federation of 35 colleges, each with its own structure and activities. Many prominent people have attended the All Souls College, Shown here.

Big Ben, London
Named after Sir Benjamin Hall, London’s portly commissioner of works, Big Ben is the great bell in the clock tower on the eastern end of the Houses of Parliament in London. The booming 13.5-ton bell first rang out in 1859.

The Seven Sisters, England
Visible from far away because of their striking color, the Seven Sisters are a series of chalk cliffs on the coastline of southeastern England, near the town of Eastbourne. The chalk of which the cliffs are made is a type of limestone found on both the English and French sides of the English Channel.

Dartmoor Prison, England
Built in 1802 to hold French prisoners of the Napoleonic Wars, Britain’s famous Dartmoor Prison lies in the historic moorlands of southwestern England. The region’s rugged beauty results from a dramatic combination of granite outcroppings, heather-covered slopes, grassy lowlands, and tracts of dark peat and treacherous bogs. The wild and desolate terrain of Dartmoor is vividly evoked in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles (1902). The region is also the site of several prehistoric building remains and Druidic settlements.

Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham
The city of Birmingham, England, is a major commercial and retail center. It was home to one of Britain’s first purpose-built shopping complexes—the Bull Ring, which opened in 1964. The original building was demolished in 2001 and a new retail and residential development, known as the Bullring, opened in 2003.

Roman Bath
The Romans were originally attracted to the natural hot springs near what is now the city of Bath in England, pictured here. They founded the city and excavated the baths to exploit their medicinal value. The baths are now famous landmarks.

London from the Air
This view of London, taken from the air, shows the city’s financial district spread out around the River Thames. The Canary Wharf Tower in the London Docklands dominates both the skyline and the regeneration project around the old wharves.

Thames River in London
The Thames River is the most important river in England and the main source of London’s water supply. In this picture, the Palace of Westminster is on the left, in front of Westminster Bridge (thought to be the site of the Romans’ first crossing point). On the south bank of the river (on the right of the picture) are Lambeth Palace (the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury), the South Bank Centre arts complex and the London Eye.

Aerial View of Avebury Stone Circle
Avebury circle, shown from the air, is a Neolithic monument built from about 2800 to 2700 bc, during the Bronze Age in Britain. An embankment and a ditch enclose a large ceremonial area in which there are several circles of stones and a village. Many of the stones were removed for use in construction as the village expanded during the 17th century.

London Tower Bridge
The 244-m (800-ft) Tower Bridge spans the Thames River in London. It was the only movable bridge crossing the Thames when it was completed in 1894. Sir Horace Jones designed the bridge, and Sir John Wolfe Barry built it.

Well, that's all. Enjoy and visit England!
