Hi
there,
Here I come up with the tagline about APSIA
writing class. This training program was held on Saturday, February 16, 2013.
Here are the details.
There are four great speakers delivering
their knowledge and experience in the field of writing.
The first, we had kak Diego Christian. He
is the author of a novel entitled with “Percaya”. The main point of him was ‘to
be a good writer, you must have a great passion on it, going through and unceasing.
Practice and repetition makes perfect’.
He said “High dream is not wrong at all,
the wrong one is our short effort on it”
Diego Christian is a distinguished writer of
fiction book. He told us notions about writing a fiction story. Here are some:
Unique diction and
narration
Dialog must be good
and exciting to read
There are two type of
description: showing and telling
Do some research before
writing

“Passion is something that you never give

The second speaker on the first session was
kak Boim Lebon. Who’s he? He is the writer of “Lupus” series novel. He also
write “Masih Bisa Cuma di Republik Mimpi” book. Guess what, he has written more
than 100 fiction books. What a wow really!
Quote from him “Sometimes, we don’t need to
find a unique story through a long way of searching, we can find it from our
ordinary life”
The third great speaker was kak Arry
Rahmawan. Arry is a graduate of Engineering Faculty of University of Indonesia.
He is the author of “5 Kunci Siswa Hebat”. He writes 500 articles in a year (so
productive, right?). He told us some tips to be a productive writer. First, to
start writing, we should make a set of vision first. We don’t need to write if
we don’t have any passion on what we’re going to write. Just write based on our
passion, something that attracted us, something that we really good at. To write
a lot, we should read a lot! J

And… we had our last speaker. Yep, she’s
Windy Ariestanty. Some of you might have heard about Kambing Jantan authored by
our funny writer icon, Raditya Dika. Windy is the editor of Gagas Media which
published the book. She is the author of “Life Traveler”. She made some thought-provoking
notions we should check out.
